Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Tarro Public School, where strong support, strong connections and high expectations create the conditions for every child to grow and succeed.
At Tarro Public School, we are proud to offer a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment where every student is encouraged to thrive. Our dedicated staff deliver high-quality explicit teaching in literacy and numeracy, ensuring strong foundations for success while inspiring curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.
We believe every child deserves access to opportunity. Through our growing High Potential and Gifted Education programs, rich extra-curricular experiences, strong sporting opportunities, creative arts programs and engaging STEM learning, students are challenged to discover and develop their strengths.
Wellbeing and belonging sit at the heart of our school. Through positive behaviour supports, inclusive practices and strong student support structures, we create a culture where students feel safe, connected and ready to learn. Our commitment to Aboriginal education, student voice and meaningful partnerships with families and community helps every child develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.
As a proudly community-minded school, we work in partnership with families and local organisations to expand opportunities for students—from transition programs and wellbeing initiatives to unique partnerships such as Books in Homes, cultural programs and enrichment experiences beyond the classroom.
At Tarro Public School, we combine strong support with strong connections to help every child grow, achieve and flourish. I warmly invite you to explore our website and discover what makes Tarro Public School a place of opportunity, belonging and excellence.
